Two information before heading to Paris:
— We have updated the image of the virtual machine with several new files. It is necessary that you update your
version using the command “gs_update” from a terminal in Virtualbox from your laptop.
— Weather forecast in Paris for the next week is predicting temperatures below 0 during the day (-10° below
normal temperatures at this time of the year), warm clothing is advisable !

Dear all,
The school is approaching rapidly and it is time to give you some information for your arrival in Paris and the organization of the week.
— Registration will take place in the main hall of the FIAP on Sunday afternoon from 16h00 to 20h00, or before the beginning of the first session, Monday morning, from 8h15 to 8h45, at the entrance of the lecture room (‘Lisbonne’ room, see 'Venue' and updated program).
— An informal welcome buffet will be organized on Sunday from 18h00 to 18h45 in the main hall, at the entrance of the FIAP, for those of you that will be already at FIAP at that time.
— For those who stay at the FIAP and arrive on Sunday after 20h00, the reception is open 24 hours a day.
— Lunch will take place at the self-service, ground floor, from 12h30 to 14h00. Tickets for the lunch will be given to you at the registration desk.
— A cocktail will take place at the Paris Observatory on Thursday, starting at 19h00. Further information will be given
during the week.
Finally, you may be interested to know that the school has reached 59 attendees from 18 different countries.
There are 47 PhD students and 12 postdocs.
